there is no doubt it takes a lot of commitment and planning in order to attend, and continue to attend, events such as networking meetings. It may not be particularly cheap either! hj_townsend therefore explains to us the importance of having a very clear plan of action when attending such events. The author draws from their own personal experience where it took many, many months to achieve their first piece of business from their networking activities – simply because the author was “hoping” rather than “planning” for business.
